Bearcats move to No. 20 after regionals
MARYVILLE, Mo. –The Northwest Missouri State women’s cross country team moved back into the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) poll released earlier today climbing all the way to No. 20 as announced by the organization.
The Bearcat women entered the South Central Region Championships unranked in the national polls, but after a strong third place finish, Northwest finds its self at No. 20 in the week seven polls. It is the highest rankings this season for the Bearcats who reached No. 21 earlier this season.
The women’s team is one of two MIAA teams to be ranked in the top 25 as well as one of two teams from the South Central Region to be ranked. Western State retains the No. 1 spot after winning the Central region over Adams State.
These are the final top 25 rankings of the season before the NCAA Cross Country Championships slated for Nov. 19 in Spokane, Wash.
