Women’s Cross Country Ranked Fourth in the Region
MARYVILLE, Mo.-Northwest Missouri State's cross country program led by head coach Scott Lorek is ranked fourth in the preseason regional rankings released by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
The top seven spots in the poll were filled by members of the MIAA. Last year's regional winner, Missouri Southern, is number one. Truman and Pittsburg State are two and three, respectively.
Northwest finished fifth at the NCAA South Central regional meet last November. The Bearcats return five of their seven runners who competed in that meet. Northwest will make its 2010 debut Sept. 11 at the Bearcat Open in Maryville.
