Bearcats travel to Lincoln, Neb. for the Woody Greeno/Husker Invitational
The Northwest Missouri State men's and women's cross country teams will be running at the Woody Greeno/Husker Invitational hosted by the University of Nebraska in Lincoln Saturday. The race will take place at Pioneers Park. The women will run a 6K at 10 a.m. and the men will run an 8K starting at 10:45 a.m.
Last year, 21 teams competed on both the men's and women's side. The Bearcat women finished in eighth place, while the men took 14th.
In addition to the Bearcats, Central Missouri and Emporia State are expected to represent the MIAA.

This is the second meet for Northwest this season. The Bearcats hosted the Bearcat/Spoofhound Classic Sept. 6. Freshman Angela Adams won the women's 5K race with a time of 20:34.3. Sophomore Mary Jantz took second, finishing 12 seconds behind Adams.
Sophomores T.R. Pursell and Clay Martin took first and second, respectively, in the men's 4-mile race. Pursell's winning time was 21:23.1. Martin crossed the finish line two seconds later.
