
MELAIRIE, La. – The 2006 Northwest Missouri State women’s cross country team is one of 92 Division II teams to receive All-Academic Team honors, announced today by the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association. The honor is the first for the women’s team since 2002 and the third in the program’s history.
Teams must average a 3.000 grade point average for the recognition. Adams State (Colo.) College was selected the All-Academic Women’s Cross Country Team of the Year winning its fourth consecutive national title last season and maintaining a 3.440 GPA.
All eight women’s cross country teams from the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association earned All-Academic Team honors. A full list of the schools can be found at www.ustfccca.org.
