Pohren has finished in the top two for the Bearcats in every meet this season. Junior Bryan Touney (Lake Lotawana, Mo.) crossed the finish line in 35:11, 30th of 93 runners, in his fifth top-five finish for Northwest this season. O’Brien finished first for the Bearcats with a time of 24:42.5 in the 6K race, while Karah Spader (York, Neb.) finished 33rd overall and second for Northwest. O’Brien and Spader have finished first-second for Northwest in every race this season. Maggie McManigal (Colorado Springs, Colo.) finished 64th of 127 runners, and freshman Amanda Gray (Rock Port, Mo.) rounded out the top-100 runners, finishing 96th in 27:57.6.
Nicodemus Naimadu of Abilene Christian repeated as the regional champion, finishing with a time of 31:13.9, while Trina Cox of Abilene Christian was the women’s champion in 21:49.1. Central Missouri State took top team honors in the women’s division, while Abilene Christian was the men’s champion.
