
CRETE, Neb. - Junior Drew Wilson (Stanton, Iowa) finished first overall to lead the Northwest Missouri State men's cross country team to a second place finish in the Dean White Invitational, hosted by Doane College.
Wilson led all runners with a time of 26:22.86 in the 8K run. Matt Pohren (Omaha, Neb.) finished second for Northwest and third overall with a time of 26:44.46, while Brandon Dart (Fremont, Neb.) finished tenth of 32 runners, crossing the line at 28:05.22.
The University of Nebraska-Kearney finished first in the team standings.
The Northwest men's team will have next weekend off, while the women's team travels to Chicago, Ill., for the Loyola Lakefront Invitational on Oct. 1. Both teams will be in action on Oct. 8 at the Concordia Invitational in Seward, Neb.
