Women Finish Fourth in Opening Meet at Omaha
OMAHA, Neb. - Under the direction of a ninth place finish by freshman Anna O'Brien (Easton, Mo.), the Northwest Missouri State women's cross country team finished fourth in the CU/UNO Invitational Meet held September 3, 2005.
O'Brien crossed the finish line with a time of 20:26, followed by Karah Spader (York, Neb.) in 18th (21:25) to round out the top-20 runners. Maggie McManigal (Colorado Springs, Colo.) also finished in 31st (22:28), followed closely by Dia McKee (O'Fallon, Mo.) in 33rd (22:42).
In the 5,000M race, the University of Nebraska-Omaha finished with the top team score, while Kayte Tranel of Nebraska-Omaha finished first with a time of 18:50.
Both Northwest Missouri State cross country teams will be in action on September 9, 2005, as they travel to Central Missouri State University to participate in the Mule Run. Starting time is 6:20 P.M.
