STILLWATER, Ok. -- Led by the 13th-place finish of freshman Karah Spader, her third straight top Bearcat performance on the year, the Northwest Missouri State women's cross country team took fourth at the Cowboy Jamboree today, hosted by Oklahoma State.
In the College/Junior College Division, Spader crossed the finish line in 19:45 followed closely by Ashley Grosse in 19th (19:55). Dia McKee was in 33rd (20:11) and Heather Brokaw tok 40th to round out the top-50 Bearcat performers.
In the 5,000M race, Harding (Ark.) took first as a team with individual Hellen Singoei winning top honors with a mark of 17:57.
There were 17 teams in attendance with Northwest being the lone MIAA team.
Both the men and women will compete Oct. 9 at the Concordia (Neb.) Invite.
