Bearcat Harriers 8th, 9th at Regional Meet

JOPLIN, Mo. - The Northwest Missouri State University men's and women's cross country teams wrapped up their seasons Saturday at the NCAA Division II South Central Regional Championships.

For the women, Northwest finished ninth of 12 teams in the event. Northwest scored 120 points, while regional champion Central Missouri State had just 40.

Ashley Grosse led the way for the Bearcat women. She finished 36th in a time of 23:53.1. Betsy Lee was second for Northwest, finishing 42nd in a time of 24:05.5

The Northwest men were eighth of 10 teams with 190 points. Abilene Christian won the regional championship with just 31 points.

Jamison Phillips was the Bearcats' top finisher with a 27th-place finish in a time of 33:10.5. Bryce Good was 31st in a time of 33:23.2.
