Northwest Harriers Sixth at Concordia Invite

SEWARD, Neb. – The Northwest Missouri State University men’s and women’s cross country teams each finished sixth at the Concordia Invitational Saturday.

For the Northwest men, Bryce Good (Sr., Ankeny, Iowa) was the top finished with a time of 26 minutes, 20 seconds in the eight-kilometer race. Kyle Daily (Jr., Liberty, Mo.) finished 26th in 27:18, while Chad Fowler (Jr., Kearney, Mo.) took 30th in 27:26.

Doane College won the men’s competition with 52 points, while Northwest tallied 138 points to take sixth. There were eight teams in the men’s race and 79 runners finished the race.

In the women’s race, the Bearcats were led by Ashley Grosse (Fr., Blue Springs, Mo), who finished 22nd in 19:41. Betsy Lee (So., Lawrence, Kan.) finished 27th in 19:50 and Rachel Jenkins (Sr., Ottumwa, Iowa) placed 48th in 20:55.

Concordia won the women’s race with 35 points, while Northwest was sixth with 160. There were seven teams in the event and 76 runners finished.
