Northwest Harriers Run in Kansas, Minnesota

MARYVILLE, Mo. – The Northwest Missouri State University men’s cross country team ran Saturday at the Roy Griak Invitational in Minneapolis, Minn. Meanwhile, the Bearcat women competed Friday at the Emporia State Invitational in Emporia, Kan.

The Northwest men were led by Bryce Good, who turned in an 82nd-place finish at a time of 26 minutes, 56 seconds. The Bearcat men were 22nd overall in the 41-team meet. There were 364 athletes competing.

For the Bearcat women, Ashley Grosse narrowly missed a top 10 finish, taking 11th in 19:41 in Emporia. Betsy Lee was also in the top 20 for Northwest, finishing 16th in a time of 19:57. The Bearcat women finished fourth in the meet, which saw 12 teams and 89 runners compete.

The Northwest Harriers will be in action again Saturday, when they travel to Seward, Neb. to run at the Concordia College Invitational.
