A native of Independence, Kansas, Jason Sack enters his eighth year at Northwest after five years at Avila University, an NAIA institution in Kansas City, Mo. At Avila, he coached the cheerleading squad to three consecutive Universal Cheerleading Association (UCA) College Cheerleading National All-Girl Division II top-10 finishes, and was named the Heart of America Conference Spirit Squad Coach of the Year in 2003. In 2005-06, he judged at the American Championships "Official Florida State Championships" and the UCA's "National All-State Cheerleading Competition."
As an athlete at Pittsburg (Kan.) State University, Sack was a member of the cheer squad that finished in the top-10 at the UCA College Nationals from 1996-99, including a second-place finish in 1997. He was named captain in the 1997-98 academic year, and earned the team's "Hustle Award" in 1997 and 1998.
Sack has held positions at Lee's Summit West High School, Park Hill High School, Park Hill South High School, Neodesha High School, and Independence Community College. He has been an instructor since 1997 for the Universal Cheerleaders Association summer camps in twelve states, and holds membership in the Missouri Cheerleading Coaches Association.
Sack is also the sponsor the the Bearcat Steppers.
