Cheerleading
The Bearcat Cheerleaders are a co-ed squad consisting of a minimum of 12 males and 12 females but not absolute. The term of service is from tryouts until the end of the spring semester. A portion of the squad will attend UCA camp during the summer months.
The squad cheers at all home football games and men and women basketball games, and play-off games. In addition, Northwest Cheerleading supports all other sports at Northwest Missouri State University. Scholarships are available and will be awarded to those who make the squad. These scholarships are based upon ability and need. During the tryout process scholarships are finalized and awarded during the following academic year.
The Northwest Cheerleaders are a competitive squad and create qualifying tapes for a Nationals invitation each year.
