Annual Bearcat Booster Club Meeting
Minutes
September 14, 2006
Board Members Present: Pat Haynes, Teri Harr, Jerry Lutz, Ray Courter, Mark Gregg, Jon Baldwin, Jim Goecken, John Yates, Tyler Martin, Steve Sutton, Jeff Otte, and Dan Edmonds; ex-officio: Mark Clements and Bob Boerigter; Guests: Darin Loe
President Harr called the meeting to order.
Baldwin motioned and Gregg seconded to accept the minutes from the July 13, 2006 meeting; motion carried; Baldwin motioned and Lutz seconded to accept the treasurer's report which reflected $22,727.58 in General, after approved expenses, and $31,109.10 in Transportation; $100 in Deferred Account and $3,425 in Zech Fund; motion carried.
Old Business - Fall Barbecue was deemed successful with approximately Booster Club members with families attending and 325 student athletes; Booster Club paid $1625 and M-Club paid $975
New Business - Coach Loe presented a request for assistance in purchasing 4 field screens and a ball caddy for a cost of $2,365; will be discussed under Action Items
Athletic Director Report - Boerigter introduced Tyler Martin who was representing SAAC's Booster Board member, Sara Trowbridge; Fall sports have had a good start - Soccer team is rated; Volleyball took Truman to 5 games; much improvement in the Bearcat Zone with a live band performing each home game; new billboard on 71 Hwy just north of I-29 which will feature in 3 month intervals football, basketball and spring sports; MIAA Conference meeting coming up with discussion regarding potential conference expansion; Football semi-final playoffs will be held on Sunday, December 10 instead of December 9, and will be carried by ESPN-U for the 4:00 game and ESPN2 for the 6:00 game with the National Championship game to follow in Florence the following weekend - December 16

A. Lutz motioned and Yates seconded that we provide up to $2,365 to purchase for baseball 4 screens and a ball caddy, motion carried
Gregg motioned and Goecken seconded to adjourn. Motion carried. Next meeting is October 12.
