Annual Bearcat Booster Club Meeting
April 12, 2007

Board Members Present: Pat Haynes, Jon Baldwin, Ted Goudge, Linda Girard, John Yates, Dan Edmonds, Jim Goecken, Teri Harr, Ray Courter; guest: Morris White; ex-officio: Mark Clements

President Harr called the meeting to order.

Yates motioned and Baldwin seconded to accept the minutes from the March 8, 2007 meeting, motion carried; the Treasurer's report led to the discussion of the Zech fund - there is no direct assignment of these dollars, Yates suggested we move the dollars to a scholarship fund; Girard motioned and Edmonds seconded to move the dollars if there is a Zech or Severson scholarship set up, motion carried; Edmonds motioned and Goudge seconded to accept the treasurer's report which was reported by Clements as: $16,171.59 in General, after approved expenses, $26,344.06 in Transportation; and $3,425 in Zech Fund; motion carried.

New Business -
A. Morris White, Athletic Marketing, presented a promotions package for the Booster Club of $6,000 which would include All Sports Poster Sponsorship, Exclusive Schedule Card Sponsorship, One Full-Page Color Program Ad, One Full-Page Black & White Program Ad; Exclusive Sponsor of National Girls and Women in Sports Day, Official Sponsor of the Bearcat Cub Club, one (1) :30 second Video Board Spot and 2 PA's at all home football games; in addition, White discussed the possibility of purchasing tables for the west side of Bearcat Area and putting scrolling advertising on them at a cost of $1200 for the first year and $1000 for the following years (it would be a three-year commitment) and there may be an opportunity for courtside seating with game day sponsor

Athletic Director Report - Clements handed out the end of season schedule for spring sports; Baseball has 2 games scheduled for Sunday and 2 games on Monday; Softball tournament will most likely be on Sunday only with a modified schedule; Football scrimmage will be held on Sunday, April 15 at either 2:30 or 3:00; stadium turf going through the bid process

Other Business - terms are expiring for Lutz, Girard, Gregg and Meyers; a nominating committee of Baldwin (lead), Yates, and Goecken was appointed

Action Items - Much discussion on items offered for advertising package; Goecken motioned to allow Clements be liaison to White for the Booster Club to determine the price break down of the promotions package and to select the menu we wanted which are the schedule cards, 2 full page ads (1 color/1 black and white), the official sponsorship of National Girls and Women in Sports Day, and scrolling advertising on the new tables being purchased for the west side of the arena; Baldwin seconded and motion carried

Baldwin motioned and Yates seconded to adjourn. Motion carried. There will be no meeting in May. Next meeting is the annual meeting on June 14, 2007.
