Bearcat Booster Club Meeting Minutes

Booster Board Members Present: Jerry Lutz, John VanCleave, Rod Barr, Pat Haynes, Jon Baldwin, Ray Courter, Michelle Drake, Bob Rice, Allison Hoffmann, Teri Harr; Ex-Officio Present: Mark Clements; Guests Present: Scott Bostwick, Pat McLaughlin, Jessica Feuerbach Darin Loe
President Rice called meeting to order.
Baldwin motioned and VanCleave seconded to approve the minutes of December 9, 2010, motion carried; Treasurer's report - Clements reported balance of $44,522.02 in the general fund after deducting $9,500 in outstanding commitments, and $51,178.60 in Transportation; Barr motioned and Hoffmann seconded to accept the Treasurer's Report, motion carried

New Business -
- A. Football - Coach Bostwick made a request to purchase a computer hard-drive for $5,910 which includes installation and everything
- B. Golf - Coach McLaughlin and Feuerbach made a request to purchase a Golf Simulator, which could be used for indoor practice or anytime of the year, $6,130
- C. Baseball - Coach Loe made a request to purchase new bats (new standards) for $1,615 and uniform replacement pants for $1,260
- D. Athletics - Clements made a request to purchase DVD burner which can burn 5 at one time, $619
AD Report - Clements reported that new Athletic Director, Wren Baker, reports February 15; hire assistant Volleyball Coach Amy Phelps who starts March 1; MIAA Conference Basketball tournament runs March 3-6, and Northwest Women should finish first in regular season and will begin play on March 4, tickets available - all session $40, single session $15 - good for any of seven sessions, tickets sold at Municipal Auditorium will be $20 each; Women's Regional Basketball tournament will be March 11, 12, and 14 - we submitted bid to host; Sunday, February 13 will be football awards ceremony in Mary Linn; Spring season - Softball at Drury (2-11-11), then to Northeastern Oklahoma; March 15 is first home game; Tennis will not start on schedule and will play at Drake to play indoors; Baseball to Canyon, Texas - February 26 and 27 with 2 doubleheaders and then March 18 against Ft. Hays; progress on getting basketball floors replaced - Martindale late March and Lamkin, May 1
Other Business - 11-12 Brochures - Clements asked for any recommended changes on brochures

- B. Golf request - VanCleave motioned and Drake seconded to approve - no action; Drake motioned and Lutz seconded to table request until appropriate on-campus facility for storage and use have been determined, motion carried
- C. Baseball request - Barr motioned and Harr seconded to provide $2,875 to purchase bats and replace pants, that are non-repairable, motion carried
- D. Athletics request - Baldwin motioned and Drake seconded to provide $639 for DVD burner, motion carried
