Minutes
February 8, 2007
Board Members Present: Pat Haynes, Jeff Otte, Dan Edmonds, Teri Harr, Linda Girard, Jim Goecken, Jerry Lutz, John Yates, Ted Goudge, Steve Sutton; ex-officio: Mark Clements
President Harr called the meeting to order.
Otte motioned and Edmonds seconded to accept the minutes from the January 11, 2007 meeting, motion carried; Sutton motioned and Edmonds seconded to accept the treasurer's report which was reported by Clements as: $17,171.59 in General, after approved expenses, and $37,144 in Transportation with a deposit pending for $6,000; and $3,425 in Zech Fund; motion carried.
Old Business -
A. Vehicle Fleet Update - Clements presented a bid from Northwest Ford for the purchase of a 2007 Ford Fusion S at a cost of $17,218 (which included a $1,000 rebate); much discussion followed concerning lack of bidders and also the suggestion of looking at program cars in the future as possible replacements for the vehicles; Lutz motioned and Goecken seconded to allow up to $17,218 for the purchase of the 2007 Ford Fusion S and for Mark to try to negotiate a trade-in on the damaged car to reduce the cost; motioned carried
New Business - none
Athletic Director Report - Clements reported that MIAA will have a new commissioner, Jim Johnson, on July 1; much discussion has occurred about the conference expanding and UNO and Lincoln University are potential schools that have shown an interest; MIAA Basketball tournament is March 1 through 4, tickets will be available for sale on campus - all session tickets will be $40, institutional ticket (can only attend when your team is playing) will be $30, single session tickets at Municipal Auditorium will be $15 for general and $5 for students with ID; general admission tickets for Missouri Western game will be on sale Wednesday, February 14 at the Northwest/Washburn game - $6 in advance or $10 at Missouri Western, for reserved seating will need to call Missouri Western
Other Business - Basketball has a new plasma television courtesy of Dr. Harr

Edmonds motioned and Yates seconded to adjourn. Motion carried. Next meeting is March 8, 2007.
