Minutes
January 10, 2008
Board Members Present: Ray Courter, Jerry Lutz, Jon Baldwin, Allison Strong, John Yates, Jim Goecken, Dan Edmonds, Pat Haynes, Teri Harr, Linda Girard; ex-officio: Mark Clements; guest: Anna Tool (Volleyball)
President Girard called the meeting to order.
Harr motioned and Baldwin seconded to accept the minutes from the September 13, 2007 meeting, motion carried; Lutz motioned and Strong seconded to accept the treasurer's report which was reported by Clements as: $37,127.57 in General and $46,344.06 in Transportation; motion carried.
New Business -
A. Volleyball Request - Coach Tool made a request for $700 to purchase a "Catch-It" (target and retrieval system for volleyball); this amount includes shipping
Athletic Director Report - Clements reported that there has been some discussion of allowing Canadian institutions into NCAA organization; Conference Baseball tournament will be held at Legend's Field in Kansas City (by racetrack) the second weekend in May; Brochures for the MIAA 2008 Basketball Championship are available for March 6-9; Jim Redd will be inducted into the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame on February 10
Other Business - need to replace Mark Gregg's board position

A. Volleyball Catch-It: Edmonds motioned and Strong seconded to approve $700 for the purchase of the Catch-It and shipping, motioned carried
Harr motioned and Lutz seconded to adjourn. Motion carried. Next meeting is February 14, 2008.
