Baseball and Softball games rescheduled

MARYVILLE, Mo.  – The weather continues to mess with the Northwest Missouri State spring sports schedules as they head down the final stretch of their seasons.

The Bearcat baseball team was scheduled to play Fort Hays Tuesday on Bearcat Field, but with a rain/snow mix coming into the area the game has moved to Wednesday. FHSU comes into the double-header with a 23-18, 19-17 record in 2013. First pitch in game one is scheduled for 1 p.m. with game two set to follow.

Head Coach Darin Loe’s team enters the contest riding a five game winning streak improving their record to 19-25, 16-22.

The Northwest softball team has moved their double-header against Lincoln from Tuesday to April 30. Lincoln has posted a record of 14-19-1, 6-14 this season. This will be the second time the two teams have rescheduled the double-header due to weather.

The Bearcat softball team has won their last six out of seven conference games and currently rank sixth in the conference posting a 25-13, 13-9 record.
