Bearcats postpone home opener

MARYVILLE, Mo. – After taking two wins from Washburn on Thursday the Northwest Missouri State baseball team will have to wait a little longer for their home opener as they have canceled their series against Central Missouri for this weekend.

The weather is still playing havoc with Bearcat Field as No. 2 Central Missouri was scheduled for a three game series on Saturday and Sunday but will not be making the trip to Maryville.

Northwest will head back on the road Tuesday to take on Fort Hays in Kansas for a double-header with first pitch scheduled for 2 p.m. and the second game to follow. The Bearcats will welcome Missouri Western to Bearcat Field March 20 for a double-header for their home opener.
