McGlauflin earns All-Region honors

MARYVILLE, Mo. – Sophomore Eric McGlauflin was named Daktronics Second Team All-South Central Region on Thursday as voted on by the South Central Region Sports Information Directors.

McGlauflin is the first Northwest Missouri State baseball player to earn all-region accolades by any organization since 2007 and only the second to earn recognition from the Daktronics voting committee. The Sioux City, Iowa, native finished in the top 10 in the league and led Northwest in batting average (.387) and on base percentage with a .474 mark. He finished with 14 doubles and 30 RBIs.

McGlauflin also earned All-MIAA Honorable Mention honors. The first and second teams were comprised of four starting pitchers, three outfielders and one of every other field position, including a relief pitcher. All first-team selections are now eligible for All-America honors. Due to ties in voting, there were four second team selections for outfield and two selections on the second team at second base and utility.
