Baseball weekend schedule adjusted

MARYVILLE, Mo. – The Northwest Missouri State Bearcats’ baseball team’s four-game series with the Truman State Bulldogs has been adjusted due to rain in the Kirksville area.

The Bearcats’ nine inning game on Friday has been cancelled and instead Northwest will play back-to-back double-headers Saturday and Sunday.

Saturday’s double-header is slated to begin at 1 p.m. with Sunday’s set for a noon start.  Both days will see a seven inning game followed by a nine inning match-up.

The Bearcats currently sit at 7-18 overall and 6-10 in MIAA play while the Bulldogs enter the four-game series at 4-18 overall and 3-15 in conference play.

Chris Green is expected to take the mound in game one for Northwest.  Green has made six starts this season for the Bearcats.  In his 29.2 innings pitched this season, Green has struck out 18 and holds a 2-2 overall record.
