Press Release

Baseball team helps freshmen on move in day.

MARYVILLE, Mo. - Northwest Missouri State University's baseball team lent a helping hand on Wednesday, when members of the team helped distribute lofts to incoming freshman dorm rooms.

Official move in day for freshmen was Thursday, Aug. 25, and freshmen were relieved to have one less thing to worry about as they prepare for life as a Bearcat on campus. Coach Darin Loe summarized the team's efforts by acknowledged the stress of being a freshman in college.

"We all remember move in day as a freshman in college. If our Bearcat baseball players can help the family of an incoming freshman Bearcat by having a loft waiting for them in their dorm room on move in day, we are happy to assist," Loe said.

Freshmen finding their lofts in their rooms ready for them to use are just one way that makes arriving at Northwest Missouri State University, especially for freshmen, a little less stressful; Bearcats helping Bearcats is just one way that makes this place feel a little more like home.
