Northwest Drops Two Against Central Missouri
WARRENSBURG, Mo.-The Northwest Missouri State baseball squad lost a pair of games on Saturday afternoon to No. 6 Central Missouri, losing 6-3 and 10-1.
Trevor Conner, Jon Henne, Kreed Kurtz and Matt Stice each had an RBI in the doubleheader for Northwest. Nick Pfeiffer led the Bearcats offensive attack, going 3-for-6 with two doubles and a run scored. Northwest hit .212 in the two games while slugging .288. Central Missouri hit .385 in the doubleheader with a .654 slugging percentage.
Chris Green got the start in game number one for Northwest. Green pitched five innings giving up five runs on seven hits. Jeremy Tate started on the hill in the second game for the Bearcats, pitching one inning and gave up four runs on four hits.
Northwest (2-12, 0-3 MIAA) finishes its four-game set with Central Missouri tomorrow at noon.
