Bearcats Shut-Out in Second Game in Florida
PENSACOLA, Fla.-Northwest Missouri State lost Wednesday afternoon to West Florida 9-0 in Pensacola, Fla., in the Bearcats' second game of a three-game series with the Argos.
Landinn Echardt and Kreed Kurtz each doubled for Northwest, while Joe Kankovsky went 1-for-2 and drew a walk. Christian Dekker got his first start on the mound this season for the Bearcats. Dekker pitched four innings and gave up eight runs on nine hits. Ben Stedronksy, Charlie Krueger and Eric Mitchell pitched four innings of relief and gave up just one hit and one unearned run.
Northwest (0-4) will finish its three-day series with West Florida tomorrow afternoon at 3 p.m.
