MARYVILLE - Two complete games, by Bill Disselhoff and Danny Malone, paced the Northwest Missouri State baseball team to a 12-2 and 10-0 sweep of the Pittsburg State Gorillas.

Disselhoff logged a complete game three hitter and retired 10 straight from the first through the fourth. Disselhoff was extremely efficient, tossing just 79 pitches and striking out a pair.

The Gorillas took an early 1-0 lead plating one run in the first, but Northwest would counter with two in the second. John Henne Jr. scored on a wild pitch and Trevor Conner drove in Chris Benham with a double to right center.

A Ryan Bledsoe single started a four-run fifth and Henne blasted a two-run home run to left center to make it a 7-2 Bearcat advantage.

Conner led off the sixth with a solo home run to left center and a pair of Gorilla errors helped extend the inning. The Bearcats batted around and scored five runs, three unearned, on four hits.

Bledsoe and Malick collected three hits and Henne Jr. drove in three RBI's.

Britt Westman then took a 2-2 pitch over the left field wall for a three-run home run, his 12th of the season. Another Gorillas error and wild pitch would score the final two in the third.

The Bearcats added another run in the fifth, seventh and eighth. The game ended due the the MIAA ten run rule when Westman looped a ball to right field scoring Bledsoe.
