2006 Schedule Announced
MARYVILLE, Mo. - The Northwest Missouri State baseball team and head coach Darin Loe have announced the 2006 spring schedule.
The Bearcats will start their schedule in Conway, Ark., as they take on Central Arkansas in a three day, four game series beginning on Feb. 17. Northwest and Central Arkansas will play a double header on Feb.18, and wrap on the series with a single game on Feb. 19.
This seasons, spring road trip will take the baseball team down to Pensacola, Fla. for three day, four game series with West Florida starting on Feb. 26. Before returning home, the Bearcats will travel to Montevallo, Ala, to partake in a three game series with the University of Montevallo on March 2.
Northwest's first game at home in 2006 will be a single game against Rockhurst on March 8. They will play five games at Bearcat Field, ending with Peru State (Neb.) on March 15, which Northwest's longest home stand of the 2006 campaign.
The Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association schedule will begin on March 22 against Washburn at Bearcat Field. The game against the Ichabods will be two seven inning contests.
Northwest will conclude the MIAA schedule with four games at home, with Division II national finalist Central Missouri State starting on May 5. The Bearcats and Mules will play a double header on Saturday May 6, with the series concluding on May 7.
