Northwest Baseball and Softball Clinics Set for This February

MARYVILLE, Mo. -- The Northwest Missouri State University baseball and softball programs will be holding separate day clinics in February. Head baseball coach Darin Loe will direct two scheduled baseball sessions, one on Saturday, Feb. 5 and the other on Sunday, Feb. 6 for boys ages 13 through seniors in high school. For softball, head coach Susan Anderson will supervise four separate clinics on Saturday, Feb. 12 and Sunday Feb. 13 for girls ranging from ages 9-18.

BASEBALL (Feb. 5-6 in Bearcat Arena)
Coach Loe, along with assistant coach Matt Johnson, will instruct campers Feb. 5-6 in Bearcat Arena. The Feb. 5 clinic is geared for pitchers and catchers while the Sunday session is focused on hitting and defense. Cost for each session is $50 with check-in at 9 a.m. Each participant will receive a t-shirt and are expected to bring appropriate attire. SOFTBALL (Feb. 12-13 in Bearcat Arena)
There will be four separate sessions under the direction of coach Anderson and assistants Lauren Sigwing, Megan Spring, Melissa Nimmo and Angie McCoy. Clinics 1-2 are for girls ages 14-18 with the first with a cost of $80 and being devoted to infield/outfield hitting and the second with a cost of $40 and focused on left-handed slap hitting. The first two clinics combined are $110 and take place on Saturday, Feb. 12. Clinic 1 check-in begins at 8:00 a.m. and includes lunch while the second one starts at 3:30 p.m.

Sessions 3-4 are for girls ages 9-13 and are scheduled for Sunday. Cost for Session 3 is $35 with the focus on left-handed slap hitting while Session 4 is on infield/outfield hitting and costs $70 - both sessions can be attended for a price of $95. Session 3 check-in is at 8:00 a.m. while Session 4 is at 10:00 a.m. and includes lunch.

Participants are encouraged to bring their bat and glove and appropriate attire. All four sessions include a camp t-shirt and require a pre-registration by Feb. 1. This can be done by calling (660) 562-1783 or clicking here for the order form.
