Men's and women's basketball has a pair of road games at Lincoln and Missouri Western this week and track and field heads to Nebraska on Saturday, this week in Bearcat Athletics.

Northwest Missouri State travels to Jefferson City, Mo., on Wednesday night for a doubleheader with the Blue Tigers of Lincoln. The women will play at 5:30 p.m. with the men to follow at around 7:30 p.m. The Bearcats will travel to rival Missouri Western on Saturday night for another 5:30/7:30 doubleheader.

The Bearcat men are coming off of a split last week against Nebraska-Omaha and Pittsburg State. Northwest lost to UNO 64-56, but rebounded on the weekend to defeat the Gorillas at home 65-64. Elijah Allen averaged 18 points and five rebounds over the week and moved into the program's top-ten for career scoring with his 1,200th point.

Lincoln is 2-18 overall and has yet to win a conference game, sitting at 0-16 in the MIAA. The Western men are 9-11 overall and 7-8 in the league.

The Northwest women won both games last week. First, the Bearcats defeated Nebraska-Omaha 85-65 behind Gabby Curtis' career-high 35 points. The 35 points are tied for the fifth-most in program history. On Saturday the Bearcats defeated Pittsburg State 61-50 as Abby Henry had 21 points to lead all scorers. Kyla Roehrig had 15 rebounds and five blocks in the win.
