DII Athletic Directors Select 43 Bearcats for Academic Achievement Award

CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Division II Athletic Directors Association named 43 Northwest Missouri State student-athletes as the recipient of the Inaugural Academic Achievement Award, presented by WeatherPORT. The award was presented to 2,188 Division II student-athletes among 67 institutions.

To earn the honor, a student-athlete must maintain a 3.5 grade point average, have at least two years of college coursework and be an active member of an athletic team in the 2007-08 academic year.

Football led all Northwest teams with nine student-athletes on the list, followed by softball and women's track and field with eight each.
