Northwest Leads MIAA In Student-Athlete Graduation Rates
OVERLAND PARK, Kan. - Northwest Missouri State leads the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association in graduation rates among student-athletes, and was recognized for such accomplishment at the MIAA Awards Banquet on May 31. Northwest received academic awards for Highest Graduation Rate for Student-Athletes, Most Improved Graduation Rate and Highest Difference in the Graduation Rate of the Student Body and Student-Athletes."We're certainly thrilled to receive the academic awards at the MIAA Awards Banquet," said athletic director Dr. Bob Boerigter. "We say that our business is to produce college graduates and to be recognized for having a very significant graduation rate among our student-athletes confirms the dedication of our coaches and the support personnel, and of course, our student-athletes, to the goal of producing college graduates."
