Bobby the Bearcat Makes Appearance at St. Francis

MARYVILLE, Mo. -- Bobby Bearcat, official mascot of Northwest Missouri State University athletics, entertained children and staff as part of the 20th anniversary celebration of the St. Francis Preschool and Child Care Center on Oct. 5. Bobby spent an hour playing with children at the center, which is a part of St. Francis Hospital and Health Services in Maryville, Mo.

"The exposure of Bobby Bearcat is very important," said head cheerleading coach Jason Sack. "Reciprocating the support from the community to Northwest and giving it back is essential."

"Having Bobby at the celebration made a lasting impact on the children," said Crystal Westphal of St. Francis. "He alone made the party a success."

Organizations wishing to schedule an appearance by Bobby Bearcat can contact Morris White, Northwest Director of Athletic Marketing, Promotions, and Licensing, at (660) 562-1581 or mwhite@nwmissouri.edu.
