Northwest Missouri State SAAC Organizes Drive to Benefit Make-A-Wish Foundation
MARYVILLE, Mo. -- The Northwest Missouri State University Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and the Make-A-Wish Foundation have teamed up to collect funds for projects in the local community. Fans will be able to donate money or coins at collection cans placed near the concession areas at Bearcat Stadium for the remaining home football games this season and select home basketball games.
The collection cans are part of an annual nationwide drive organized by the Division II SAAC. Last year, $114,692 was raised for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
The SAAC is considered the student-athlete voice within the NCAA governance system. SAAC members address concerns at the national level that affect more than 360,000 NCAA student-athletes on their campuses and their communities.
