Baseball and Tennis Alumni Events Set for the Fall

MARYVILLE, Mo. -- The Northwest Missouri State University baseball and tennis teams, will hold their annual alumni matches this fall. The alumni baseball game will take place on Sunday, Sept. 24, while the alumni tennis match is on Friday, Oct. 20.

Registration for the Bearcat baseball alumni game will be held on Saturday, Sept. 23. The alumni will be able to tailgate after registration and then watch the football team host Missouri Western at 1:00 p.m. The alumni game will start on Sunday, with batting practice at 10:00 a.m., followed by a warm up and pre-game at 11:45 a.m. and the game starting at 12:15 p.m.

The Northwest tennis team will hold their 22nd annual men's and women's alumni match at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 20 at the High Rise Courts. Following the match, former Northwest tennis players, Julie Callahan Collins and Yasmine Osborne, will be part of the 2006 M-Club Athletic Hall of Fame Class. The ceremony will take place in the Ballroom at the J.W. Jones Student Union with the banquet starting at 6:30 p.m. These two players will also be recognized at halftime of the Homecoming Football Game at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 21.
