  • Northwest continues its four-game road stretch at Nebraska-Omaha Sept. 27. Kickoff has been moved to 1:30 p.m.
  • The home team has won in the last eight meetings. The last time Northwest won at Nebraska-Omaha was the last time the two played a day game in Omaha, Neb. - Nov. 23, 1996. Northwest won 22-21 for its first postseason victory in program history.
  • Northwest leads the league in scoring offense, passing offense, total offense, first downs and third-down conversions.
  • The Bearcats claimed the Old Hickory Stick for the seventh straight year in a 49-0 shutout of Truman last weekend.

Volleyball (4-10 / 1-2 MIAA)

  • Northwest ends a brief stint at home with Missouri Southern Sept. 23 before beginning a five-match road stretch, beginning at No. 17 Pittsburg State Sept. 26.
  • The Bearcats went 1-2 last weekend, with both losses coming to Top 25 teams. Northwest defeated Fort Hays State 3-1 in its home opener Sept. 19.
  • Katie Swenson earned her eighth double-double of the season against Emporia State Sept. 20. She's recorded a double-double in 23 of her 48 career matches.

Soccer (6-2 / 2-2 MIAA)

  • Northwest plays Missouri Western for the second time in 2008, this time at home Sept. 25. The Bearcats defeated the Griffons 3-1 earlier this season in St. Joseph, Mo.
  • Kira Lazenby tied the school shutout record against Missouri Southern Sept. 18, with her fourth shutout of the season. She's tied for the MIAA lead with Truman's Denise Childress.
  • The Bearcats' school-record eight-game scoring streak ended against Southwest Baptist. Northwest limited the MIAA's highest-scoring offense to a single goal in the loss.
