The Process
Integrating Campus-wide
Faculty incorporating an eTextbook within their course management
system (CMS) can easily take advantage of the accompanying multimedia
learning resources provided by publishers. Often publishers provide
course packs or pre-designed course materials to drop into a CMS.
Students benefit from being able to easily highlight, share notes,
complete key word searches, and annotate eTextbooks.
A process for purchasing, distributing, and implementing eTextbooks
is being developed. Training will be designed for faculty on how to
integrate eTextbooks with their current course websites and the various
resources that are available. A common platform for the delivery of
eTextbooks will be discussed with the major textbook publishers. Student
tutorials will be developed exploring the full features of eTextbooks.
