Northwest offers a self enrollment system for preregistration through 'CatPAWS. Midterm grades, final grades and academic history records (transcripts) are also available on 'CatPAWS.
If for any reason students cannot use the web-based system, they can enroll or adjust schedules in the Registrar's office with signed pre-enrollment forms or drop/add forms.
Enrollment begins with the initial time and continues through the first day of the appropriate summer session.
Find your classification and total earned credit hours, to determine the first date you may preregister for Summer and Fall 2009 classes.

Use your 'CatPAWS account to verify your enrollment and personal information.
Please verify online at your convenience beginning May 7 and continuing Aug. 3 for summer sessions.
If you have preregistered and will not be attending the Summer 2009 trimester, please send a written notification to the Registrar's Office before the first day of classes to avoid financial obligation. If you do not cancel, you will be subject to partial payment of fees.
If you have questions concerning your enrollment, contact the Registrar's Office at (660) 562-1151.
You must verify in order to receive your undergraduate textbooks. After Online Verification is completed, Textbook Pickup is located in The Station.
The first day textbooks are available for pick-up is Friday, May 8, 1 p.m. - 5 pm. Beginning Monday, May 11, you can pick-up your textbooks Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. throughout the summer trimester.

Students may register on any of the above dates for a class beginning that day. Registration begins in the Admissions Office on the second floor of the Administration Building. Students will obtain enrollment materials and proceed to the appropriate academic departmental office to see an advisor for enrollment approval signatures. Once the advisor's signature is obtained, students return to the Graduate Office (if graduate) and the Registrar's Office to register for classes. Undergraduate students will take their class schedule to Textbook Services to obtain books.
Mail-in registration is available to all graduate students. A Graduate Mail-in registration packet may be obtained by calling the Graduate Office at (660) 562-1144 or by mailing a request to the Graduate Office. Registration forms must be received by the Graduate Office at least two weeks before classes begin. Students are responsible for consulting with their program director to determine courses to be taken. This mail-in process is not recommended without consultation with the appropriate program director.
Graduate students are encouraged to use the graduate mail-in, online registration or register prior to the beginning of the trimester. If you are unable to utilize one of these options, the Registrar or Graduate Office should be contacted for assistance. Registrations for online (web) courses MUST be completed at least two weeks prior to the first day of class. This will assure computer access by the first day of class.
Textbooks are available at the Bearcat Bookstore on campus or online at www.MBSdirect.net or www.whywaitforbooks.com. Choose Northwest Missouri State University as the institution, enter the course number to determine if there are required textbooks and proceed with the order. Please contact Textbook Services at (660) 562-1150 for 500-level or undergraduate courses to determine textbook availability.
The academic load allowed a full-time graduate student is 16 hours. This includes all off-campus coursework and workshop hours.
The Graduate Office is open 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., Monday through Friday and can be reached at (660) 562-1145 or by email to gradsch@nwmissouri.edu.
