Retention rates are the percent of students who are academically eligible after 2 semesters and return for the next academic year. This measure is used across higher education and is typically referred to as the freshman success rate. It serves as a good indicator of how much support an institution gives to students during the first year. The comparisons for this chart are Northwest's Peer 41 Institutions and Northwest annually performs higher than the Peer 41 average.
