The Northwest campus community is made up of approximately 7,000 students, faculty, staff, and visitors. Our community is a large, diverse group of people from all over the world, with different capabilities and abilities.
As such, your most important role in an emergency is to share information and resources with your friends and campus community during an emergency. Make sure you work together, listen for and follow official instructions, get the information you need to be safe, and stay safe.

If you witness or are involved in an emergency at Northwest, call University Police at 660.562.1254 or 911.
When 660.562.1254 or 911 is called, University Police personnel are dispatched to the scene. On campus there are six (6) emergency telephones that connect to the emergency line in the University Police Office. When one of these is activated, the University Police dispatcher is automatically given the location of the emergency telephone and personnel are dispatched.
