Northwest has a number of faith communities to give students opportunities and support in their spiritual lives. This page provides a description and sponsor information for the following organizations.
This Christian-based organization is designed to stimulate spiritual growth while providing spiritual fellowship among all Greeks. Weekly Bible studies are held as well as several social events throughout the year. All fraternity and sorority members are welcome.

The purpose of this organization is to lead students to a commitment to Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord and nurture them in the Christian faith and life.

Campus Crusade for Christ is an interdenominational campus ministry to build up believers in Jesus Christ and assist them in sharing their faith with others. CRU is part of an international organization that seeks to turn lost students into Christ-centered laborers. It includes small group Bible studies, worship, weekly meetings, retreats and conferences.

Provides a Christian atmosphere for students to join together. We are focused on transforming our world locally here on campus as well as around the globe. We reinforce five key aspects: prayer, discipleship, fellowship, worship and witness. These help us define our purpose as well as provide areas for us to seek growth as an individual member and the group as a whole.

The Christian Campus House is a Christian organization dedicated to serving Christ, studying the Bible, and reaching out in Christian service.

The focus of this group is to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ to the Northwest community and to build and nurture the faith of Christians on campus by study and application of the Bible. Membership is open to all.

FCA is a growing Christian organization that is concerned with the spiritual aspect of the individual as well as the other side of the total person. The group is part of a nationwide organization that brings Christians together for fellowship and to help one another through the hectic schedule of college life. Although FCA's main focus for its ministry is athletics, all students are welcome.

The Latter-Day Saint Student Association is the campus organization of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. The purpose of LDSSA is to allow LDS students, friends and associates to meet together to learn, socialize and be of Christian service. All of the activities are centered on the life and example of Jesus Christ and are structured to bring students closer to Him.

LOC Fellowship is sponsored by the Community of Christ Church. Everyone is invited to share and grow in Christ through fellowship, friendship and study. Activities through the academic year include meals together, scripture studies, cookouts, planning and participating in congregational worship services, parties, movies and community service projects. We welcome additional ideas for activities from students in the group. Students are also welcomed to attend worship services on Sundays at 10:45 a.m. at the sponsoring church, located at First and Walnut streets in Maryville. All activities are open to everyone, regardless of religious affiliation.

The Navigators provide regular opportunities to study the Bible, worship and pray, all in a group setting. This organization is different because it focuses on the individual and their own worship.

Newman Center is the organization that serves the Catholic community at
Northwest. The organization serves Catholic students in a number of ways,
striving to bring together both Catholic students and faculty. There are regularly
scheduled opportunities to worship and pray together. The Newman Center
sponsors weekly dinners shared by a number of students and faculty. The group
offers a variety of opportunities to meet new people, join in discussions and study, reach out together in service to others and have fun together.

This organization provides Jewish students with the opportunity to do Jewish things that are meaningful and appealing to them.

Wesley Student Center is the United Methodist campus ministry at Northwest.
Through the programming at Wesley, the directors and peer ministers try to provide for the spiritual growth of students from any denomination. The center offers a midweek worship event, Sunday evening programming, small group studies and support opportunities to any student who wants to participate. Wesley Center members also try to be present on campus when needs arise. Participants have provided workshops in residence halls, provided leadership for special events on campus, and have been present at athletic events.
