B.S. Chemistry - Medicinal Chemistry Emphasis
B.S. degree, Medicinal Chemistry Emphasis; 57 credit hours, no minor required
This degree program is designed to give students the opportunity to study chemistry with an emphasis on medicinal chemistry, allowing the students to tailor the major to their individual interests and specific academic needs. The Medicinal Chemistry emphasis prepares students for a career in the pharmaceutical industry, regulatory government agency or graduate studies in Medicinal Chemistry or a related discipline. This emphasis meets the requirements for pre-professional training in medicine, and may partially or completely fulfill pre-pharmacy requirements for Pharm D programs. The core courses are required of all students, and each emphasis area has additional specific requirements.
