One ongoing goal is to make the aquarium as low-maintenance as possible. Consequently, we let the live rock establish active microbes. These will help maintain nutrient cycles in the tank. Even with all the care we can muster, we expect considerable "trial and error" as our knowledge grows.
After consultation with experts, we decided to minimize the number of fish in the aquarium. The links on the right of this page are to information about the species we plan to introduce. Most of those pages are species information sheets that we will post near the aquarium.
