Tickets are now available for the Northwest Missouri State University International Student Organization’s (ISO) annual dinner on Wednesday, March 28.
Tickets for the Spring Festival of Food are $5 and should be purchased before Tuesday, March 20, by contacting ISO members Asma Hassan at firstname.lastname@example.org or Arpana Pokhrel at email@example.com. Seating is limited.
Dating back more than 30 years, the ISO dinner is an annual banquet to benefit the student group. The dinner, featuring foods from around the world, begins at 7 p.m. in the J.W. Jones Student Union Ballroom. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
Among this year’s menu items are spring rolls, egg rolls, vegetarian lo mein and chateau chicken from China; puff puff, jollof fries and samosa from Africa; biryani, chicken tikka masala, paneer tikka masala and dal tadka from India; momo, rice pudding and potato pickle with cucumber from Nepal; Mexican tacos; Italian pasta and European cake.
In addition to preparing menu items that represent their native countries, student members present cultural dances and performances.
