Northwest Missouri State University will celebrate International Education Week Nov. 13-17 with a series of activities and events designed to educate students about study abroad and international experiences offered by the University.
International Education Week is a joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education in an ongoing effort to celebrate international education and exchange.
Northwest’s celebration is sponsored by its study abroad and international affairs offices.
“International Education Week is a great opportunity for students, faculty and staff to expand their international knowledge,” Ashley Henggeler, Northwest’s international affairs coordinator, said. “Students need the skills and aptitude to contribute to a global society. By participating in IEW, individuals can build an appreciation of diversity through various activities, lectures, and panel discussions. It also serves as a reminder that our world is interconnected, now more than ever, and we have a shared interest in building bridges through civility and promoting meaningful cultural exchanges.”
Details about the week’s activities at Northwest are provided below.
