University Seminar students to host ‘Dog Jog’ Nov. 4

Northwest Missouri State University students will host a “Dog Jog and Bake Sale” to benefit the New Nodaway Humane Society.

A section of Northwest's community-themed University Seminar course has organized the event, which begins at 8 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 4, at the Lamkin Activity Center Circle Drive. Check-in begins at 7:30 a.m.

Parking will be available behind the Olive DeLuce Fine Arts Building, and the first 40 participants to check in receive a free dog toy.

Admission for participants ages 13 and up is $5 each; 12 and under is $3 each. Online registration is available at

Participants are encouraged to bring a pet on a leash and will be required to show paperwork that the pet is current on vaccinations.
