Northwest-Kansas City students enjoy an affordable, quality education at the state-of-the-art Northland Innovation Campus, including opportunities to complete undergraduate degree programs or advance through graduate programs.

The Northland Innovation Campus, which serves as the home of Northwest Missouri State University-Kansas City, is being honored by the Kansas City Business Journal with a 2017 Capstone Award.

The awards recognize the metro area’s outstanding real estate and development projects completed in 2016, as determined by a panel of independent judges. The Northland Innovation Campus is recognized with the award for community impact.

Northwest, the city of Gladstone and North Kansas City Schools launched their unique partnership to build the Northland Innovation Campus in 2014. The 90,000 square-foot research and education complex, at 6889 North Oak Trafficway in Gladstone, Missouri, is designed to create synergies for K-12 programming while attracting business partners and students from the Kansas City metro and regional area.

The partners broke ground for the $20 million project with project developer CarrBaierCrandall Real Estate Group in May 2015. Northwest celebrated the opening of the Northwest-Kansas City location in August 2016 and has a 10-year lease agreement to occupy the top floor of the four story-building.

Northwest-Kansas City offers affordable, quality education at the state-of-the-art facility, including opportunities to complete undergraduate degree programs or advance through graduate programs. Northwest-Kansas City offers completion programs in business, communication, computer science, criminology, education, health science and psychology.

It also offers dual credit coursework through its partnership with Northland CAPS, professional education graduate degrees and client-based educational opportunities. Northwest meets education needs of the community by offering seminars as well as customized education and training.
