March 28, 2017
Northwest Missouri State University Greek organizations are celebrating their unity and competing in some friendly competition during the University’s annual Greek Week, March 28-31.
In addition to activities throughout the week, Greek organizations are raising funds for the Nodaway County Humane Society. Students are collecting donations, and the president of the Greek chapter that collects the lowest total will be pied.
This year’s Greek Week schedule and more details about activities are provided below.
Greek organizations have had a presence on the Northwest campus since 1927, and the University’s chapters range in size from 25 members to 126 members under the leadership of students of all class standings.
Currently, Northwest recognizes 15 nationally supported Greek organizations, which are annually honored for their academic, philanthropic and social programs. In addition to helping students develop long-lasting friendships and leadership skills, Northwest Greek chapters help students develop skills to become outstanding community and civic leaders.
