Northwest Missouri State University alumni and friends may now “ride with pride” by displaying a personalized Bearcat license plate on their vehicles.
“Northwest alumni travel all over the United States, and with the Bearcat license plate our brand can stretch from east to west wherever and whenever,” Bob Machovsky, director of alumni relations and annual giving at the University, said.
Individuals may reserve their license plate by making a donation of $25 or more to the Northwest Fund. Be sure to note that you want to receive a collegiate license plate form.
Registrants will receive an Emblem Use Authorization Statement from the Northwest Foundation to present to local license bureaus, along with a $15 fee due to the Department of Motor Vehicles. Personalization cannot exceed six characters in length.
Individuals who already have Northwest personalized plates are encouraged to update to new plates during renewal.
“Alumni also really enjoy identifying and connecting with other alumni through the branding they’re either wearing or sporting on their vehicle,” Machovsky said. “It’s our hope that this will be a common license plate to see on the road throughout Missouri.”
