    Northwest Jazz Ensemble to perform at American Jazz Museum

    The Northwest Missouri State University Jazz Ensemble will go on a tour March 16-19, ending with a performance at the American Jazz Museum’s Blue Room.

    The Jazz Ensemble will perform for students at eight different high schools during the tour.

    The public is invited to attend the Jazz Ensemble’s performance at the American Jazz Museum, located at 1600 E. 18th St., in Kansas City, Missouri. Admission to the performance is free, and visitors are encouraged to buy a ticket to tour the museum.

    “We are very excited to reach so many prospective students through this recruitment tour, and the opportunity to perform at the American Jazz Museum’s Blue Room,” Dr. Bill Richardson, the Jazz Ensemble’s conductor and a Northwest professor of music, said. “Many thanks to the Northwest Band Alumni Association and the Northwest Foundation for their support.”
