Northwest Missouri State University students invite local families to a dinner with an international flair while raising funds for the New Nodaway Humane Society.
The Culture for Critters event, in partnership with the city of Maryville, is 6 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 2, at the Maryville Community Center.
First-year students in Northwest’s University Seminar led by Assistant Professor of Professional Education Dr. Sue Wood are partnering with international students to host a night of games, music and activities from cultures throughout the world. International dishes also will be available.
Tickets are $9 for adults and $5 for children 10 and under. Tickets may be purchased in Maryville at Hy-Vee or City Hall during regular business hours. All proceeds from the event will benefit the New Nodaway Humane Society.
Professional education majors may qualify for diversity hours by participating in the event.
